Missional Partnerships

“But Nineveh has more than 120,000 people living in spiritual darkness, not to mention all the animals. Shouldn’t I feel pity for such a great city?” – God

God had a love for a lost city and He called Jonah to preach to them. However, Jonah didn’t want to because He didn’t love the people of Nineveh. His attitude is representative of scores of churches and Christians in today’s world. They love their religion. They love their church. Yet they don’t love their city. In fact, they have contempt and disdain for their city. And that is why they have no impact on their city.

At Eternity, we have a different philosophy. We do love Jefferson City. And we will actively seek for ways to serve, impact, and make a difference in it. To do that, we must disperse and go out into the city, not gather and retreat from the city. That is what it means to be missional. That is the philosophy we will try to live out.

And in so doing we have established the following partnerships:

- East Elementary School

East Elementary School serves the most economically challenged area of Jefferson City and its students experience a unique set of challenges and difficulties that students in other districts in the city do not face.  Eternity has been blessed to help provide coats, mittens, school supplies, beds, and other needs as they have arisen.  We’ve also been excited to be able to adopt East families in need for Christmas.
